From Phosphate Rock to Phosphoric Acid and Phosphate Salts
EcoPhos sa - a Belgian R&D venture - has invented and developed innovative and ecological processes applying to the phosphates industry worldwide.
The company was created in June 1996 to develop and commercialize novel process breakthroughs in the chemistry of phosphate rock attack and phosphoric acid purification; and to seek applications for these technologies in related inorganic chemical industries.
Since its foundation, EcoPhos has developed a unique body of process expertise in phosphates, forming a sturdy technology platform for the development of industrial processes with the following advantages:

The work of EcoPhos R&D has essentially developed along two principal axes: the purification of Wet Process Phosphoric Acid (WPPA); and the search for a low waste route to phosphoric acid and phosphate salts, starting from phosphate rock.
